La-La's Weekly wednesday Challenge

Goodmorning everyone,
It's Wednesday again so that means a new La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge.
This week all the guestdesigners could pick a challenge, and to give everyone the chance to pick a theme they liked we created a recipe challenge for you.
here's what we want you to use on your card:
The colours chocolate, red and beige
2 pieces of patterned paper
Embossing
Paper piecing
Scallops
I think it was the hardest challenge ever. It first started with finding the right papers, had to dig through all my stash to find some that matched ( I couldn't find plain red DP so I cheated a little and used some red and pink, hope you don't mind). Next challenge was to fit all the other things in. Have tried different designs but and this card I liked best.
This card also fitts the following challenges:
Basic Grey - Embossing
Both sides of the Paper - distressing (doesn't show very well but I've distressed the edges on the red/pink DP)
Whimsy Stamps: Buttons
Thanks for stopping by today,
xoxo Karin

Double Dutch Challenge

Happy Friday everyone,
thanks for stopping by today.
Double Dutch Challenges is celebrating their first anniversary and to celebrate this they are having a really fun challenge with 3 prizes.
For this challenge they want us to create a fun filefolder, following their perfect instructions.
For my filefolder I used the beautifull papers that are in the October Kit on the Monthly Card Kit Club, which can be pre-ordered right now. Read more about the Monthly Card Kit Club - HERE -
Starting October the 4 very talented DT-members will make posts on the blog to show you what they created with the goodies in the Kit.

I hope you all will have a great weekend,

La-La's weekly Wednesday Challenge

Goodmorning everyone,
it's Wednesday again so that means another fun challenge at La La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge. This weeks challenge.. paper piecing. I really had a hard time with this one. I tried several things with the 2 La La Land stamps I had and I wasn't satisfied with anything. But luck was on my side, this weekend my new La La Land Crafts Halloween stamps arrived, and Wizard Maya was perfect for piecing.
I created this popcorn box (popcorn was gone in 10 minutes after taking this photo), using a part of Paper Trey's 'Pick a Picknick' template.
Again I used the yummie stuff that's in this months Kit 'Boo-tifull' which is still available on the Monthly Card Kit Club.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to enter my little mini kit giveaway.

Halloween card and another little giveaway

Hi again,
second post for today.
Today I created a card using goodies from this months kit from The Monthly Card Kit Club called Boo-Tifull.
Each Big Kit contains one of the cute Greeting Farms stamps and I used the cute little witch stamp.
I followed this weeks sketch on Friday Sketchers and this weeks theme on The Greeting Farm ( Fresh Friday Farmer) is embossing.

And for one lucky commenter I have this cute little Card Kit available, with lots of goodies from the September kit and some Halloween themed images.
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post before Friday, when I announce the winner of this kit. Spreading the word about this little giveaway would be great but isn't required.

If you are interested in the complete kit, just hop over to the Monthly Card Kit Club and read all about the kits. September kit is still available.

Have a nice evening,

xoxo Karin

La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #5

Goodmorning everyone,
thanks for stopping by today. I hope you all are enjoying your week.
This weeks challenge on La La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge is hosted by Maureen, and she picked the theme: embellish it. She wants us to use 3 different kind of embellishments on our cards/projects.
For my card I used the cute Window La La again. This adorable image can be used on almost any type of card and she's so much fun to colour. I'm still into summer colours so I used the beautifull Citrus papers from DCWV.
Thanks for stopping by today,
xoxo Karin

DT-Call for the Monthly Card Kit Club

Hi everyone,

as some of you know I've started the Monthly Card Kit Club 2 months ago.
A new Kit every month in 2 sizes, the big kit and the mini kit.
The kit includes a lot of yummie goodies, enough to create 4 to 5 cards/projects.
This kit is perfect for ladies who want to have new craftinggoodies every month without spending a fortune on it.

I wanted to create samples for the kit, but because I really don't have the time to create them I'm looking for 2 ladies who want to create samples using things from the kit.

You will receive a complete kit every month and all I ask from you is to create at least 1 card/project each week and publish them on your blog and on the Monthly Card Kit Club. It will be for at least a 3 month term.

If you are interested please make a post about the DT-call and show me 2 cards/projects you think represent your style, then leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog. If you want more info, please send me a email.
The DT-Call closes on Friday Sept. 18th

Have a great weekend,
xoxo Karin

Dutch Dare #60: colour inspiration

Hi everyone,
so nice of you to stop by today.
Really short post today, because there's nothing exciting going on overhere. Highlight of the day sofar is that I have been shopping at my favorite scrapbookstore and spend way to much money on all kind of new goodies. Not all for me (have been shopping for the October Kit, that will be available on October 1st on The Monthly Card Kit Club), but in the end it's was a lot of money. But I always say, everybody has a hobby and hobby's always cost a lot of money.
This weeks challenge on the Dutch Dare Card Challenges is a colourinspiration challenge.
Thought it would be fun to create 2 newborn baby cards, one fro a girl and one for a boy mixing the colours pink and blue.

Thanks for stopping by today,

xoxo Karin

Stamp: Window La La from La La Land Crafts

JCBC Sketch #44

Hi everyone,
weekend is over and I've enjoyed a beautifull summerday. After a weekend filled with rain it was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the sun. That's why I'm late with my post for the JCBC Challenge. This week we have a sketch created by Nessy. And boy what a sketch, had to make several cards before I thought it looked a little like the sketch. It still doesn't look exactly the same but it will have to do.
This weeks sponsor for the JCBC Challenge is La-La-Land Crafts and Irina kindly donated one of the stamps they have in store.

Today Maureen Wong, one of the DT-members of La-La-Land Crafts is celebrating her birthday and all the DT- and guest DT-members want to wish her a Happy Birthday in La-La-Land style.

So here's to you Maureen.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks for stopping by today,

xoxo Karin

My best friend

Goodmorning everyone,

Last Thursday night we had another SOL on PCP. I created a very easy card for this SOL because I can't seem to find the time to do a special project. Always short on time and I have to make the cards at the last minute.

I have a few great projects waiting on my desk, but it seems that I never have time to make them. Prommissed myself to create the next SOL card this Sunday, so keep my fingers crossed there's nothing unexpected coming up tomorrow.

Here's my SOL Card.

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend.

Help wanted!!!!

Hi Everyone,
sorry no card today, but a request.
Just like many of you I'm a member of Paper Craft Planet.... a fabulous community with a lot of fun groups, challenges and examples.
Overthere I host the 'WE LOVE TO SEND A RAK' group. I've met a lot of great ladies overthere and we organise a lot of fun things every month.
But with all the fun things we organise overthere everything becomes a little bit dis-organised. And that where I could use your help.
I'm planning on setting up a new community which should be filled with a lot of groups doing fun things, lots of photo's to inspire everybody etc. I'm a real disaster with computers and now I'm looking for a few ladies who are willing to help me setting this up.
So if you are great with computers, banners, blinkies, organising things, or even want to host a challenge group etc. please send me a email for more details.
Looking forward to hear from you.
xoxo Karin

La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge #3 Bling-Bling

Hi everyone,
This weeks challenge is hosted by Kim Yu and here's what she had to say about this weeks challenge...
This weeks challenge is BLING - BLING. I would like everyone to add some blings, sparkles, glitter..... anything that blings. There are so many blings out there these days so the possibilities are endless. So take all these BLINGS out and play along!!
For this weeks challenge I created a little noteholder using the cute Window La La again. I coloured her with copics and aquapencils. The papers are from K & Company - Citronella. The gems are from a local Dutch Store. Have no idea where the flowers are from I got them as a gift from my good friend Donna.

Don't forget to check the blogs of all the other DT-members. They all did a awesome job again.
And if you want to winn one of the new Halloween stamps that are going to be released on September 10th. just go to the la-la- land crafts blog to enter the candy. Candy is open untill September 3rd, so you have to hurry
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day,
xoxo Karin

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards # 43

Goodmorning everyone,
completely forgot to make a post about the new challenge on the JCBC blog yesterday. Couldn't get started yesterday because of a bad headache that lasted the whole day. I'd rahter have a good stomacheache, because then you can think, but when I'm having a good headache it really isn't possible to think and the best thing to do is go to bed and sleep. But no time for sleeping, so I took some aspirine to take of the sharp edges. But spending a lot of time at the computer wasn't possible.
A day late but here's my card for the JCBC challenge. We have a great sketch created by Kristin. It's a very simple one, but you are welcome to add some embellishments.

Card recipe:

Papers: Color Core Cardstock, SU papers and W are Memory Keepers

Stamp: Window La-la from La-La-Land Crafts

Technique: copics and aquapencils blended with Sansodor, borderpunch from Fiskars

Thanks for stopping by today,

xoxo Karin
